QUARRIES AND TIPS
The Quarries Regulations 1999 place an obligation on quarry operators to identify excavated faces and materials in mounds that represent 'Significant Hazards' and to obtain Geotechnical Assessments of such hazards. They also require accurate face surveys where excavation is assisted by blasting in order to ensure the safe placement of explosive charges.

Johnson Poole & Bloomer has specialist mining and engineering geologists, geotechnical engineers and surveyors able to make the necessary statutory inspections, surveys, assessments and reports.
