Environmental Noise
- Planning Policy Guidance 24 - undertake noise assessments in line with
PPG24 to determine the Noise Exposure Category for proposed developments
- BS4142 - Assessment of noise from established and proposed industrial
sources.
- Boundary Environmental Noise surveys - determination of perimeter
environmental noise levels.
- Section 61 (Control of Pollution Act) - measurement and prediction of noise
levels from open and construction sites, in line with BS5228.
Dust and Particulate Monitoring
- Monitoring of airborne particulates emanating from industrial operations;
determining background levels prior to planning application; and monitoring
levels of dust and particulates associated with construction sites.
Measurement of air quality is assessed against typical background levels and
following UK standards. Included with the measured Parameters are:
Total Suspended Solids; PM10; PM2.5 & PM1.
- Soiling Deposition - ambient measurement of soiling levels of airborne
particulates and the determination of the likelihood of complaints.
Ambient Air Quality Monitoring
- Measurement of a variety of air pollutant parameters from point and diffusive
sources. Parameters that may be measured include:
- Nitrogen dioxide and Oxides of Nitrogen.
- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
- Sulphur Dioxide.
- Hydrogen Sulphide.
