  • firry - used by lads to bespeak the first turn in any game
    - firry, secky, thirdy are 1st, 2nd & 3rd
    laggy - cry to bespeak the last turn;
    - laggy yan being the last but one;
    - laggy two and so on
  • barley! - a claim for first choice; a call for a truce; to call a parley.   used in children's games. "Barley me that", "A barleyt that"
  • cob (vr) - to pull the hair as a punishment or penalty, till the boy whistled three times.
    "Hes gat a cobbin"
  • bezzler - calculated to surpass, or beat
  • capper - something that surpasses
  • cappert - outdone
  • slam - to beat an opponent in a game before he has scored a point
  • swîpe - to sweep the stakes in gambling games
