- reeans - reins
- helter (n & vr) - halter
- bariham - a horse collar; padding under the hams
- træases - traces (harness)
- yok - to yoke; to harness to a cart or plough
- rîde - to ride (rîde, ræad, rûdden)
- stærups - stirrups (stay ropes), loops to a saddle.
(iron stirrups were only introduced about the beginning of the 19th century.)
