- odd or oad - a headland (in place names)
- neb - cape or promontory
- dummack - a rounded heap or hummock
- haggs or scroggs - rocky ground covered with trees or brushwood
- scar - a cliff; bare rock
- bink - a narrow ledge of rock
- ginnel - a cleft; fissure in rock
