  • dæal -a valley
  • slack - a hollow; a depression
  • odd or oad - a headland (in place names)
  • neb - cape or promontory
  • dummack - a rounded heap or hummock
  • haggs or scroggs - rocky ground covered with trees or brushwood
  • scar - a cliff; bare rock
  • bink - a narrow ledge of rock
  • ginnel - a cleft; fissure in rock
  • grīke - crevice; cleft in rock
  • gill - a ravine
  • gręns - the branches of a gill or ravine
  • shed - a parting as in watershed
