PHASE 1 DESK STUDY REPORTS

This outline report, prepared by professionally qualified staff, includes the findings of a site walkover inspection and the assessment and interpretation of archival information, including maps, memoirs and published databases. It is prepared specifically as an initial low-cost outline appraisal of a property or area of land.
The PHASE 1 DESK STUDY Reporting Service includes:

Walkover inspection of the site and environs.
Description of site and surrounding area
Geotechnical assessment
Historical research
Determination of prevailing geological, hydrogeological, aquifer and hydrological (flood risk classification) conditions
Preliminary assessment of radon and mining conditions
Review of published environmental database and other on-line information sources for landfill sites, waste management facilities, and potentially contaminative/significant current land uses
Initial pollution linkage assessment for the site and its setting (i.e. consideration of source-pathway-receptor models)
Initial recommendations in respect of potentially significant risks and liabilities identified by the researches
