The Dinner 2001

Back

The Annual Dinner, held on the evening of Friday 9 November 2001 at the Pedmore House, Pedmore, Stourbridge, followed the same menu and programme as has become traditional over the past three or four decades.  The principal toast was proposed by Margaret, Countess of Mar, a Deputy Speaker in the House of Lords and holder of the oldest peerage in Scotland.  We believe she was the first female to propose the toast since the Society was founded nearly 300 years ago.
